In 1994, CJ Cooper & Associates responded to our customer demands and expanded our services to include third-party administration of drug and alcohol testing programs. Today, CJ Cooper & Associates is a full-service consortium/third-party administrator for drug & alcohol testing.
As your Consortium/Third Party Administrator, we will do everything to keep you compliant with all of the US Department of Transportation agencies’ rules and regulations. CJ Cooper & Associates offers administrative services and consulting for both the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.
Every employer wants their workplace to remain drug and alcohol-free. CJ Cooper & Associates will support that initiative with an effective drug testing program. As a Consortium/Third Party Administrator (C/TPA), we administer and manage DOT-mandated (FMCSA, PHMSA, FAA, FRA, FTA, USCG) and Drug-Free Workplace drug testing programs.
CJ Cooper & Associates are authorized distributors of on-site drug and alcohol screening products for a more cost-effective Workplace Drug Testing Program.
We are electronically linked with each laboratory and receive test results throughout the day. This efficient method of data flow gives our clients the essential turn-around time needed for a successful drug testing program.

CJ Cooper offers nationwide service to transportation companies, owner operators and FMCSA regulated employers for the new FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse ruling effective 1-6-20.

A Drug-Free Workplace program is different than a DOT regulated program. First of all it is not required by law. Each state has different regulations or laws governing drug testing in the workplace. Some states have no guidance other than case law. CJ Cooper can help you navigate through the confusing state requirements and provide a program that is in compliance with your state regulations.
Drug Free Workplace
This physical is mandated by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations for drivers with a Commercial Drivers License (CDL). We offer in-house DOT physicals performed by a certified medical examiner that is listed on the FMCSA National Registry. We also offer in-house post-offer employment physicals performed by a medical provider.
